演 題：ガボンにおけるカメルーン人移住民（Cameroonian migrants in Gabon）

要 旨：In a recent article, Oliver Bakewell raised the question why
diaspora formation within the African continent seems a rare incident to
which little scholarly attention has been paid. In my contribution I
will take up his suggestion to look into the presence or absence of
diaspora formation within Africa and the reasons that could account for it.
My explorations will focus on Mbororo (pastoral Fulbe) migrants from
Cameroon based in Gabon. While looking at their livelihoods and
transnational relations, I will also analyze their legal situation and
concurrent reflections on identity.

オリバー・ベイクウェル氏は最近の論文の中で、次のような問題を提起している：アフリカ大陸の「内部」におけるディアスポラ(故郷から離散した人々)の状況は、なぜ学術的な関心を引かない稀なできごとのように見えるのだろうか？私のこの研究は、アフリカ内ではディアスポラ状況は存在するのかどうか、そしてその問題はどのように説明されうるのかを研究するべきであるという、彼の提案に沿ったものである。私の調査は、カメルーンからガボンに移り住んだボロロ (牧畜フルベ)の人々を対象としている。彼らの生活状況と国家を越えた結びつきに注目することによって、彼らの法律上の位置づけと、自らのアイデンティティに対するその影響についても分析する予定である。
